How do you carry out drylining?
We install drylining as part of the construction of all kinds of commercial and public buildings. It’s used to sub-divide internal space, line ceilings and line the internal side of external walling. Our preferred drylinings are plasterboard, as these provide a smooth surface which is suitable to immediately receive final decoration. This means they’re used extensively across new builds, conversions and refurbishments.
We install drylining using a rapid and clean process, which gives flexibility in terms of internal layout and design. Should you require certain performance criteria, we can offer plasterboards with the following properties:
- durability
- sound insulation
- thermal insulation
- fire resistance
- restriction of fire spread
- vapour control
- moisture resistance
- and more.

How do you carry out exterior rendering?
We’re proud to carry out rendering using high-performance render systems. These provide crack resistance, durability and waterproofing to far higher standards than conventional cement-based renders. They’re also waterproof and water vapour permeable, meaning structures can breathe.
Here at FK Drywall we specialise in a high-build, low-density render system which offers excellent adhesion to most substrate types. Its unique formulation provides significant reduction in heat loss, allowing it to be used as an insulating render. We also work with scratch renders, which can be used to provide a natural textured ‘scraped’ finish or to create traditional stone effects. Special colours can be produced to order.
We can offer special profiles for bespoke applications – please contact us for more details on our range.
How do you install structural framing systems?
Structural framing systems can provide cladding support to external walls through either:
- being set within the structural frame as infill panels, or
- being positioned outside the main structural frame as continuous framing
We prefer to use systems which offer the twin benefits of design versatility and speedy erection on site. All the structural framing systems we supply and install are supported by design and production systems within an ISO 9001:2000 approved quality assurance system. We also have full in-house technical support which is underwritten by professional indemnity insurance. Please do not hesitate to contact us to find out more. We can offer special profiles for bespoke applications.
How do you carry out suspended ceiling work?
Suspended ceilings are seen across nearly all commercial building projects, new builds and refurbishments. As well as making a contribution to the appearance of a finished space, suspended ceilings can also be used to conceal and house lighting fixtures, wiring, HVAC diffusers, network cabling, sound systems and wireless antenna panels. It’s vital you choose a specialist contractor for the installation of suspended ceilings.
Here at FK Drywall, we provide the levels of management, operational skills and resources that are necessary to deliver high-quality suspended ceilings and can work closely with your construction team. Contact us for more details.
